News from the Outreach Team

Your Outreach Team is pleased to pass on some rewarding information around efforts in our community by volunteers from All Saints Church. Again this school year Carl has been assisting weekly with students at Mulvey School identified by teachers to have potential exceptional creative writing skills. Last year Carl worked with 6 students and the results generated a self-published book entitled Mulvey Writers. Based on that success Carl was asked and has been working with 14 students since September. The students; in grades 4 through 6, have produced a book titled Mulvey Writers Two which is currently being put together by the school's resource department. While there are out of pocket expenses each student will receive 3 copies, the school library will have 2 copies and Carl and All Saints Church will once again receive copies. There are a number of volunteer opportunities at Mulvey School for people who have the time and interest to give of their time and talent. Just 3 hours a week volunteer support can make a positive impact for some of the 350 students. If you would like more information please contact anyone on the Outreach Team. Thanks.
