Church Picnic

On Sunday, June 16, we will be holding an Old-Fashioned Church Picnic in place of our normal 11 am worship service.

The picnic is happening rain or shine, so be sure to dress for the weather! We will be under a covered shelter in case of rain.

Who:

Everyone is welcome! And since this is taking place on Father’s Day, it’s a great opportunity to bring your father, your children, or, indeed, the whole family!

Sign up:

You’re still welcome to come even if you didn’t sign up in advance.

Location:

St Vital Park picnic shelter (see directions below) Take the east entrance to the Park from River Rd and follow the park road around until it is next to the river. The picnic shelter is on the left. It is a large covered shelter, so we should stay dry even if it rains.

Getting there:

We will be arranging carpools to ensure that everyone who wants to come is able to come. If you need a ride please contact the office before noon on Friday.

Schedule:

  • 10:30 - 11 am: arrive

  • 11:00 am - service of Morning Prayer

  • 11:30 am - games and activities start

  • 12:00 pm- lunch

  • Games and activities continue

  • 2:00 pm - wrap up

Food:

All Saints will be providing hot dogs and hamburgers (including vegetarian and gluten free options), salads, watermelon, ice cream, water to drink, and all the fixings.

What to bring:

  • Soft drinks if you’d prefer them.

  • Lawn chair. There are picnic tables in the picnic shelter.

  • Be sure to wear or bring sunscreen and bug spray and dress for the weather.

  • We will have games and activities planned, but feel free to bring your own outdoor games or sports equipment.
