This Wednesday we are able to offer a video presentation on the Zoom platform. The piece is Sieben Worte—The Seven Words from the Cross—composed by Sofia Gubaidulina and brought to us courtesy of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. It is really quite an extraordinary piece, and something quite ideal to hear at this time of the year. You will want to plan on using headphones or running your device to a stereo, as sound quality will be very important for this concert presentation. On a stormy night, what better way to spend an hour?
