DEAR ALL SAINTS CONGREGANTS AND FRIENDS,

On September 27, All Saints resumed its in-person services at 11:00 on Sunday mornings.  Unfortunately, due to the high level of cases in Winnipeg and resulting Public Health Order indicating Red Alert status, we have decided to suspend services for November 8 and November 15.  At the end of this period, we will review the situation in the City and decide whether we will recommence or not.

In the meantime, we welcome you to:

  • Attend our weekly live-streamed services which start at 11:00 each Sunday morning and can be viewed through the week on this site.
  • Read the weekly service bulletin which is available by a link here on our website or in our weekly email or in our weekly mailings to those of you who do not have easy access to the internet. The bulletins are also updated with regular announcements on the latest developments in our congregation.
  • Read transcriptions of the weekly sermons which are emailed or mailed to all.
  • Participate in maintaining the prayer list on our website.  Please contact Catherine at allsaintswinnipeg.ca (contact page) or 204 786-4765 or if you would like to have someone added to the prayer list.
  • Talk to a fellow congregation member on a regular basis via our Calling Tree Captains. If you are not being phoned regularly and would like to be, please contact Catherine and we will make sure that you get a call.

In this period when we are between priests, you are welcome to call any of the wardens (see contact information below).  Our Honorary Assistant, The Rt. Rev. Don Phillips is also available if anyone feels they need pastoral care.  He can be reached at 204 227-7048. Our administrator, Catherine Atkin, will be available by phone at 204 786-4765 each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. She will also pick up voice mails on Mondays and Fridays. You can reach us by email at: allsts@mymts.net.

May God be with us during this time of pandemic. We are praying for those who are living with worry, for those who are shut in or feeling lonely, for those who are working in stressful environments and for those who have lost their jobs or are struggling to keep their livelihoods afloat. We are praying for those who are ill in our parish and we are praying for those who have been put in isolation, self-imposed or not. We continue to pray for those who have already been put in front of us and we continue to ask for God’s presence and guidance as we work through this uncertain time.

People’s Warden: Jocelyn Bartel – 204 832-3546

People’s Deputy Warden: Carl Harrison – 204 799-5971

Rector’s Warden: Sandi Mielitz – 204 891-4060

Rector’s Deputy Warden: Gela Stach – 204 793-5206

REGULAR GIVING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVER!

The church may be shut right now, but we still have a lot of activity going and significant costs.  Stipends and administrative fees continue to be paid, we have had to invest in electronic equipment to allow Catherine to work from home and offer our virtual service, plus our outreach partners at West Broadway Community Ministry and Agape Table need extra support.

It would be wonderful if you could continue your regular gifts to the church during this extraordinary period.  Donations can be made by:

  • Mailing a cheque to All Saints Church, 175 Colony Street, Winnipeg R3C 1W2 or
  • Emailing Catherine at allsts@mymts.net to make your commitment and then phoning her (for security) at 204 786-4765 to give her your credit card number or
  • Going to the Canada Helps website and specifying All Saints Church Winnipeg as your charitable donee.

Archived Pre-recorded Online Services

When we FIRST went into lockdown due to COVID-19

Our First Online Service Is Up!

It is such a great change, and we have worked hard to adjust to a new way of being; by physically distancing ourselves from each other in order that we may find new ways to grow closer together.

We were hoping to be able to put up a video of the service last week, but due to the newness of everything (and the stressors of the reality of COVID-19) and learning the technology, we realized we would need to take the time and ask for help to make things happen for our church family.

After many hours of work by the Corporation and Vestry, Dietrich, Donald, Brent , Yanna , and the All Saints Choir, we have come together to share this with you! Click on the link below. It will take you to the YouTube link in another window. Enjoy, and blessings to you all!

You will also be able to see the Sermon Blog Entry from the Rt. Rev. Donald Phillips below. (Please scroll all the way down.)

Our Partners in Faith Need Our Help

We are all walking a journey during uncertain times. As directed by the Prime Minister, we remain in our homes to keep ourselves and those in our communities safe. Yet, there are those of us who have no home in which to be safe. There are those of us who do not have the essentials of shelter, warm clothing, food and the basic necessities that we use every day.

Our Partners in Faith, West Broadway Community Organization and Agape Table collect food, toiletries, clothing and supply warmth, fellowship, and compassion.

WEST BROADWAY COMMUNITY MINISTRY

West Broadway Community Ministry is a joint ministry of All Saints’ Anglican Church and Young United Church which provides a safe, accepting environment. WBCM offers services and programs to respond to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the neighbourhood.
